Our employees are not only part of history, they’re making history.*Northrop Grumman* *Aeronautics Systems* has an opening for an *Associate **Project Manager *to join our *F-35 Program Integration Team*. Selected candidate will support in managing projects to enhance overall operational efficiencies for the Program by serving as liaison between Program Office and our F-35 product/functional planning team members. Reviews status of projects and budgets, staffing manpower, schedules and develop standard status reports/mechanisms and/or resolutions for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers to meet total Program productivity, quality, and financial goals and objectives.
Position is located *onsite* in* Redondo Beach, CA *and requires 10% travel.
*Essential Functions:*
* Monitor project activities across the F-35 program to support tracking of cost, schedule, staffing, and technical performance in alignment with program objectives and customer expectations.
* Develop and maintain standard project reporting tools—such as dashboards, metrics reports, and executive summaries—to provide visibility into program health and performance.
* Assist with preparation and coordination of weekly and monthly F-35 status reports, both internally and for submission to government or prime contractor stakeholders.
* Support financial tracking by collecting budget actuals, identifying variances, and working with functional and finance teams to ensure alignment with contractual obligations.
* Help monitor manufacturing and engineering schedules tied to critical F-35 deliverables, flagging issues or risks for escalation.
* Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting tools and program artifacts, contributing to effective program control.
*Responsibilities include:*
* Partner with project managers, control account managers (CAMs), and functional leads to gather progress updates and coordinate project-level reporting across multiple F-35 workstreams.
* Support the tracking and resolution of risks, issues, and action items by maintaining logs and ensuring timely follow-up.
* Coordinate inputs and documentation for internal reviews, customer briefings, and key F-35 program milestones such as supplier readiness events, hardware deliveries, and design reviews.
* Maintain organized records for project schedules, earned value metrics, change requests, and baseline updates in accordance with program management standards.
* Assist in driving continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline reporting processes and strengthen program execution discipline.
* Provide administrative support for recurring program meetings—such as Integrated Product Team (IPT) sessions or project status reviews—including scheduling, agenda creation, note-taking, and tracking of outcomes.
*Basic Qualifications:*
* Must have Bachelor’s degree OR High School Diploma with 4 years of experience. Experience must be in Project Management, Program Management, Program Integration/Execution or similar
* Microsoft Office experience
* Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Clearance within reasonable amount of time deemed by business needs
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Ability to develop solutions to complex problems requiring the use of ingenuity, creativity, and participation of internal and/or external personnel & teams.
* Strong communications skills, both, interpersonal skills and good problem-solving mindset.
* Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
* Selected candidate must be highly detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and a skilled verbal and written communicator.
* Project integration experience
* Experience/certification- Control Account Manager (CAM)
* Project Management Professional Certification
* Aerospace and/or Defense Industry Experience
* Proficiency in Earned Value Management System (EVMS) techniques, which includes program cost and schedule management.

Salary Range: $61,200.00 – $91,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
