Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate
Location: Bolingbrook, IL 60440
Pay Rate: $19.50/hr
Shift: Monday–Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Overtime: As needed (based on workload, advance notice provided)
Job Summary
We are hiring Forklift Operators / Warehouse Associates for a hands-on warehouse role that combines forklift operation and physical labor. This is not a sit-down forklift-only position. Candidates must be comfortable with picking, packing, lifting, wrapping pallets, and moving equipment throughout the shift.
This role is ideal for team players with strong work ethic and attendance who are interested in a long-term opportunity with potential to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities
Operate forklifts (sit-down and/or stand-up; training provided)
Pick, pack, and stage orders using RF scanners
Wrap pallets and move equipment by pushing or pulling
Perform manual labor including bending, lifting, and reaching
Load and unload trailers (select team members)
Maintain accuracy using strong math and counting skills
Follow safety procedures to prevent injury or property damage
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years warehouse experience
At least 1 year stand-up forklift experience (Reach or Dock Stocker)
Minimum 6 months forklift experience required
Prior forklift certification (Reach, Dock Stocker, or Sit-Down)
RF scanner experience
Strong math and reading comprehension skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (team lift for heavier items)
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Team-oriented with ability to follow directions and meet deadlines
Work Environment
Warehouse setting with normal lighting, temperature, and noise
Physically active role with continuous movement
Emphasis on safety, teamwork, and productivity
