Special Instructions to Applicants A cover letter, resume and completed application are required to be considered for this position. **Please note, this is an in-person/on-site position.** Position Summary UCLA Development is seeking a resourceful, creative and proactive Coordinator to provide strong support for our Front Desk and Donor Engagement responsibilities. You will work with our Development Operations Manager in ensuring the operational and office needs of our staff are smoothly and efficiently met and with our Associate Director, Special Projects on key projects related to employee engagement and advancing our fundraising efforts. You will provide high-level first person contact and answer calls for the UCLA Development suite, maintain calendars for our leadership and conference rooms, research and compile information, prepare and process financial transactions, track gifts, credit and edit correspondence and coordinate other activities that support our donor engagement and fundraising teams programs and initiatives. Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications 2+ years prior experience in a donor relations, fundraising or related constituent services-driven environment. (Required) Customer service experience for prominent clientele is preferred. (Preferred) Strong customer service approach with well-developed interpersonal skills to build and sustain collaborative and lasting relationships with a wide variety of internal and external constituents. (Required) Demonstrated high level of personal integrity, discretion and diplomacy; skilled in using judgment in situations requiring independent initiative and tact with ability to handle confidential matters and information. (Required) Strong time management, planning and organizational skills; highly detail oriented with demonstrated ability to independently prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously, provide proficient follow up and make effective timely decisions, despite tight deadlines under minimal supervision. (Required) Ability to work well as a team with excellent verbal communication skills to convey information accurately and interact effectively and diplomatically with executive assistants of donor-volunteers, Development staff members, and University administrators. (Required) Strong written communication skills to prepare, proofread and edit a variety of correspondence and reports for correct grammar, punctuation, spelling and syntax with excellent attention to detail. (Required) Strong research skills; resourceful and analytical with ability to gather, analyze, evaluate and synthesize information or circumstances to define problems and suggest solutions. (Required) Creative, proactive self-starter that can take initiative and maintain an upbeat, positive attitude and work collaborative as part of a team in complex, fast-paced environment. (Required) Proficiency in technology and computers (ex., Word, Excel and Outlook; understanding of exporting data and mail merges); ability and eagerness to learn software and systems. (Required) Knowledge of graphic design and web editing programs. (Preferred) Working knowledge of Blackbaud CRM or equivalent client database and the use of databases to generate reports. (Preferred) Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in higher education or related environment. Must be able maintain a reliable and predictable work schedule including ability to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as needed.
