Department Summary The UCLA Library consistently ranks among the top 10 research libraries in North America, and is the foundation of leading-edge research and student achievement at UCLA. The Fundraising Coordinator plays a critical role and supports the mission of the UCLA Library. The Library Development team raises funds for eight campus libraries by identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individuals and foundations in annual, major gift, and planned giving. The Library Development program is fully integrated into the campus wide development effort and seeks to position the Library as a fundraising partner to all academic units. The Library Development office is located in the Library Administration suite in the Charles E. Young Research Library. As a Fundraising Coordinator, you will build meaningful relationships with donors and colleagues by assisting with donor communications and solicitations, event and travel planning, meetings, drafting correspondence, responding to inquiries, and managing information. Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications Experience with business software such as Google docs, Google forms, Word, Excel, and Outlook, and databases. (Required) Customer service skills to interacting in a friendly, professional manner and responding quickly and appropriately to requests. (Required) Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (Required) Ability to exercise independent judgment, take initiative, be resourceful and make decisions. (Required) Ability to research, gather, analyze, and synthesize information from sources such as online searches, databases and files. (Required) Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships. (Required) Ability to work as part of a team, be detail oriented, organized and meet deadlines. (Required) Ability to maintain confidentiality and to use discretion. (Required) Must be able to maintain a reliable and predictable work schedule including ability to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as needed.
