We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller (CPA) with a strong background in HOA or property management accounting to lead our Accounting Department. This role oversees financial strategy, compliance, and team leadership.
Financial Controller / CPA (HOA Expertise Required)
Location: Onsite – Canoga Park, CA
Compensation: $120,000–$150,000 (DOE)
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the accounting team
Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and process improvements
Review year-end budgets and ensure monthly reports are delivered
Manage client bank accounts and FDIC compliance
Serve as the primary contact for complex financial matters
Participate in Board meetings and executive sessions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
5+ years of leadership experience
Direct HOA or property management accounting experience required
Strong budgeting, reporting, and leadership skills
