Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files, records, and documentation.
  • Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to company standard policies, employee benefits, hiring / onboarding processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to HR manager.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of HR files and records.
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Provide clerical / administrative support to the department.
  • Track employees’ benefits, attendance / tardiness; update work schedules, performance review, etc.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
  • Conduct or assist with new hire orientation and exit process; prepare all necessary documentation.
  • Prepare, verify, and process employees’ request regarding work schedule updates, change in benefits coverage, COBRA etc.
  • Assist with recruitment process as assigned.
  • Perform all other HR and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Associates degree in related field preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent time management, organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to interact with diverse work styles and to multi-task across concurrent projects/priorities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or ability to quickly learn human resources information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
  • Attention to detail; team player; positive attitude.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese or Cantonese is a must.
