Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and people-focused Human Resources Associate to support day-to-day HR operations while partnering with leaders to deliver effective HR solutions. This role plays a critical part in employee relations, onboarding, recruiting support, compliance, and workforce initiatives. The ideal candidate has generalist HR experience, strong coaching and conflict resolution skills, and a passion for building a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

HR Business Support & Employee Relations

Partner with business leaders and managers to understand organizational objectives and provide HR solutions aligned with strategic goals

Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, including performance management, coaching, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation

Support workforce planning, organizational design, and succession planning initiatives

Recruitment & Onboarding

Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to support recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate coordination, and hiring processes

Assist with onboarding activities to ensure a smooth and compliant new-hire experience

Support retention efforts by promoting engagement and positive employee experiences

HR Operations & Compliance

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies

Maintain accurate employee records and support HR documentation processes

Assist with payroll processes, including verifying hours and approving timecards for Fulton employees and temporary staff at the Aurora location

Employee Engagement & Development

Drive employee engagement and culture-building initiatives

Support change management efforts and organizational initiatives

Partner with Learning & Development to identify training needs and assist with leadership and employee development programs

HR Metrics & Reporting

Analyze HR metrics such as turnover, headcount, and engagement data

Identify trends and provide insights and recommendations to leadership

Compensation & Benefits Support

Assist with compensation and benefits processes, including annual performance reviews and merit cycles

Support managers and employees with questions related to pay, benefits, and HR programs

Qualifications

Required

2+ years of Human Resources experience in a generalist or HR associate role

Working knowledge of HR best practices, employee relations, and employment laws

Experience with onboarding, recruiting support, and general HR operations

Strong coaching, communication, and conflict resolution skills

Proficiency with HRIS systems, payroll/timekeeping systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Preferred

Experience supporting manufacturing, operations, or multi-site environments

Familiarity with HR metrics and reporting

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
