MILITARY VETERANS
As an Industrial Engineer you will support Sylmar Site Operations to analyze key operational data sets and generate analytics which will allow the team to use data to discuss major areas of concern, allow for problem solving and implement solutions to optimize the production system. You will work onsite at our Sylmar Plant and report to the Plant Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Applying production engineering principles to analyze and implement manufacturing processes and methods
- Adapting effectively to new work structures, processes, requirements, and/or cultures
- Collaborating with all key functions (Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Production Control, Engineering, etc.)
- Using appropriate methods to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and measure impact
- Working within and/or across programs, organizations, or manufacturing business units as necessary
- Demonstrating the use of information-gathering techniques, analyzing situations, and identifying implications for making correct decisions
- Understanding the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the organization, including the impact of change in one or more areas
- Collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data as well as the ability to communicate complex data analysis and problems to a broad audience (e.g. from executive level to operators)
- Strong communication, project management skills
- Applying advanced knowledge of modeling techniques (e.g., mathematical modeling, simulation, design of experiments, operations research) to analyze a system
- Creating project schedules to identify the overall timeframe for project activities, including major milestones, identifying resource requirements, and managing those resources throughout the project life cycle
- Ability to execute and drive change within the assignments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, Industrial Engineering
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in applying advanced knowledge of modeling techniques (e.g., mathematical modeling and performing analytics, simulation, design of experiments, operations research) to analyze a system
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Operations and/or manufacturing processes
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Lean Manufacturing principles
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams
The base salary range for this position is 120k to 138k.
