About the Opportunity
We’re partnering with a highly stable and reputable company near the Downey, CA area that is seeking an Inside Sales & Inventory Specialist. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys managing product lines, supporting customers, and working closely with a collaborative sales team while contributing to the growth of a specialized product line.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain heavy inventory for a primary product line.
Handle purchasing, special orders, pricing updates, and cost evaluations.
Support the sales team with accurate product information, availability, and customer insights.
Assist end users with technical questions related to product usage and construction details.
Provide solutions-oriented customer support, maintaining a win/win mindset in all interactions.
Monitor product performance and identify opportunities to grow the product line.
Utilize Excel for tracking, data analysis, reporting, and inventory management.
Occasionally participate in customer entertainment such as lunches or vendor meetings.
Use strong judgment to make informed decisions on product issues, inventory needs, and customer concerns.
Qualifications
Stable work history with experience in inside sales, inventory management, or product support from a reputable manufacturer or distributor.
Intermediate Excel skills (must be expert at tables, filtering, and reporting).
Strong computer proficiency and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Experience understanding product lines, construction materials, or technical product specs is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and confident decision-making skills.
Pleasant, professional, and approachable personality with strong communication skills.
Ability to adapt quickly, respond well under pressure, and handle a variety of customer situations with professionalism.
