Job Description What will you be doing: The Lead EIS Database Administrator leads and works closely on the EIS DBA technology team in designing, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and optimization of Oracle Database, SQL Server, MySQL, SAP HANA and PostgreSQL database instances for departmental and enterprise-wide systems across physical and virtual servers for both on-premises and cloud platforms. The Lead acts as the DBA representative to all other EIS teams and departments, including, but not limited to, Linux/AIX/Windows OS teams, and server and storage hardware/virtualization infrastructure teams. The Lead coordinates with management to set project goals, requirements, schedules and provide feedback on performance assessments for EIS DBA team members. Coordinates daily work and long-term projects of the team and leads the team in completion of those goals. Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail and multitasking capabilities are required to ensure success. Designs and implements viable database backup, recovery, and high availability strategies and mechanisms. Carries out database recovery, restoration, and/or restart as the need arises. Perform quarterly disaster recovery validation. Defines and implements database parameters, security, audit, and prioritization policies and procedures. Defines, creates, and manages user accounts, profiles, privileges, roles, and required audit information. Audits database features and versions to maintain licensing compliance across all relevant products. Mentors and develops DBA skills for staff through individual and team training sessions. Hybrid Remote = must currently live in Los Angeles area or willing to relocate to LA area for onsite requirements Qualifications Experience Requirements: Five (5) plus years of production database administration experience. (Healthcare sector preferred) One (1) plus years of Lead/Supervisor experience. Leading others on team-based projects. Hands-on and extensive knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server Databases. Hands on knowledge of Cache, Oracle version 12.1.0.2 and higher, and SQL Server. Educational/Certification Requirements: High School Diploma/GED. Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. (preferred) Oracle DBA certification in at least one of the latest 2 Oracle versions or SQL Server certification.
