Department Summary UCLA Real Estate provides cost-effective professional real estate services for UCLA entities, which are continually improved in order to exceed the expectations of our customers and to fulfill our fiduciary responsibilities to the University. We assist campus users with off-campus leasing and real estate license agreements, third party agreements for on-campus space, and coordinate purchases and sales of real property. We also provide lease administration for our off-campus leases. Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications 4 years+ Substantial experience in understanding of financial reports, statements and proficient accounting principles, including accounts payable, receivables and cash handling (Required) And 4 years+ In depth understanding of accounting and lease administration functions and services. Demonstrated advanced analytical and quantitative skills (Required) And 4 years+ Competent mathematical skills to analyze invoices and corresponding documents to determine accuracy and appropriateness of charges (Required) And 4 years+ Ability to identify when adjustments are needed, follow through, and seek approval as required. (Required) And 4 years+ Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, perform detailed work and act effectively under time constraints with high degree of accuracy. (Required) And 4 years+ Advanced knowledge of computer software and hardware (i.e. Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Required) And 1-2 years Substantial experience in commercial lease interpretation and administration experience. Ability to read and interpret contractual agreements (Required) Or Demonstrated skills in analyzing information, problem-solving, correctly define issues, identify relevant concerns, recognize alternatives and implications, and formulate logical and objective solutions. Ability to exercise independent judgment in decision making. (Required) Demonstrated organizational skills to systematically arrange documents, reports, and information into groups or categories. Maintain accurate and complete accounting records and filing systems. (Required) Capability to appropriately handle confidential documents and sensitive materials. (Required) Demonstrated competence using Word and advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and functions. PowerPoint preferred. (Required) Ability to establish priorities, perform detailed work and act effectively under time constraints with a high degree of accuracy. (Required) Ability to work independently to meet departmental productivity standards and complete assignments with minimal supervision. (Required) Excellent oral and written English communication skills, to effectively communicate with diplomacy and tact. (Required) Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients in order to appropriately respond to customer requests. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, employees, customers and vendors. (Required) Ability to work in a team structure as an effective team player, and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive working relationships. (Required) Knowledge of University’s accounting system and UCLA Medical Center Financial Services accounting procedures including transfer of funds, recharges, BruinBuy, check request, and on-line systems. (Preferred) Demonstrated proficiency with MRI lease administration database software. (Preferred) Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations Bachelor’s Degree in related area and/or equivalent combination of education and experience/training (Required) Special Conditions for Employment Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
