A Litigation Paralegal contributes to AHF by assisting a team of in-house litigators excellently represent AHF in a great variety of disputes with third parties and by participating in AHF activities aimed at advancing the organization’s mission.

A Litigation Paralegal enhances the reputation of AHF by performing litigation tasks extremely well and by participating in AHF activities aimed at advancing the organization’s mission.

To be successful as a Litigation Paralegal it is crucial to ensure that the AHF Core Values and Mission stay top of mind with all that you do. At AHF we are nimble and able to adapt in a dynamic environment to assist in providing the best experience for our clients and workplace for our employees. AHF has a collaborative organizational structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders.

The Litigation Paralegal will work as a part of a close-knit team to achieve the best possible outcomes for AHF in legal disputes.

Licenses and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree (in any major; required); Completion of formal paralegal-education program (required).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct party and witness interviews; take detailed notes
  • Assist in fact gathering for current or potential lawsuits
  • Help gather and preserve evidence, including electronic documents
  • Proofread and copy-edit correspondence and legal pleadings
  • Read, organize, and manage case documents
  • Prepare, file, and serve basic court documents
  • File and serve complex court documents
  • Maintain and update case calendars
  • Conduct basic legal research
  • Assist in drafting written discovery requests, subpoenas, and responses
  • Oversee document production during discovery
  • Perform case-related administrative tasks
  • Assist in preparing deposition and trial witnesses, including presentation materials
