WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

MACHINE OPERATOR POLISHING, 4/10 SCHEDULED MONDAY-THURSDAY 1ST SHIFT 6:00AM – 4:30PM,  $20.00-$24.00 PER HOUR. DOE.

Typical work is physically demanding, requiring lifting, and the ability to walk to and from within the work center. All other duties as required by area supervisor. 
Be able to polish parts in the lip seals department using the conventional lathe and the twister speed lathe, ensuring parts conform to the drawings, read blueprints, sketches, specifications.
·    Read blueprints, sketches, specifications.
·    Understand all GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances).
·    Inspect and verify dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of work pieces.
·    Set up and operate conventional machines: Lathe, twister speed lathe.
·    Polish parts using abrasives so that they meet requirements properly.
·    Familiar with the use of measuring instruments (caliper, micrometer)
·    Deburr and polish the surfaces of machined parts.
·    Ability to manufacture parts with verbal instructions.
·    Machine parts to detail drawing. 
·    Provide feedback about any improvements needed (e.g., fixtures, tooling, etc.) 
·    Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
 
Maintains 5S workspace before, during, and after each scheduled shift. 
 
 

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum 1 year experience in Manufacturing Environment, Machine Operator, blue prints & dimensional reading is required.
Ability to work with small parts    
Demonstrates mechanical aptitude and good eye – hand coordination is required    
Ability to use measuring equipment such as calipers, gages, pi tapes is required
Good vision to read written materials and measuring instruments is required
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds is required

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the local pay range for this position, which is $20.00 to $24.00 per hour, depending on experience. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/a quarterly bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 7.5% of the hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs./week * 52wks)) for this position is $41,600 to $54,912. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and, by nature, can vary based on company and individual performance and are not a guarantee.
