We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mailroom Services Specialist in a high-volume mail center. This role involves handling incoming medical records, sorting mail, and providing operational support in a focused, quiet environment. This position requires a hardworking individual with strong attention to detail, the ability to stay on task, and a neat professional appearance. Candidates may need to lift up to 40 lbs (not a strict requirement for strong candidates).
Location: 8 Moore Dr, Durham, NC 27709
Pay Rate: $17.00/hr
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Driving: No
Dress Code: Business Casual (Khakis or dark pants and polo shirt/short-sleeved button-up; comfortable shoes; no t-shirts)
Vaccine Requirements: COVID and Flu required (original completed COVID vaccine accepted)
Parking: Provided
Responsibilities:

  • Operate high-volume mail center, handling incoming/outgoing mail and faxes.
  • Provide copier maintenance, bindery, QC, scanning, and finishing work.
  • Set up equipment, stock paper/toner, and troubleshoot basic copier issues.
  • Assist with temporary/occasional receptionist duties as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records for management reports, service logs, and supply inventory.
  • Support building operations, including light maintenance, conference room setup, and mail deliveries.
  • Perform shipping/receiving, dock work, and document filing as required.
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to company service standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1–2 years of related work experience; some copy job experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures and copier operations preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and professional customer relations.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs when necessary.
