Mailroom Support Associate, Onsite (Temporary Position)
Location: Cary, NC
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with 1-hour unpaid lunch
Overview:
We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused Mailroom Support Associate to manage daily mailroom operations at a professional corporate campus in Cary, NC. This is a one-person site, so we’re looking for someone who is confident working independently. This position includes both active and downtime periods throughout the day, making it ideal for someone who takes initiative, is productive, organized, and remains engaged.
Responsibilities
-Receive, sort, log, and distribute incoming mail and packages.
-Maintain accuracy in logging and tracking packages.
-Manage shipping and receiving tasks, including preparing outgoing parcels.
-Notify employees when packages arrive and assist them with pickup.
-Use the internal package tracking system (training is provided).
-Maintain a clean, organized mailroom environment.
-Communicate professionally with building facilities staff and onsite employees.
-Provide high-level customer service and represent the mailroom with professionalism.
Requirements
-2–3 years of experience in mailroom, shipping/receiving, office support.
-Comfortable being the sole onsite mailroom representative.
-Strong customer service mindset – personable, helpful, and people-focused.
-Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
-Professional communication and reliability are essential.
-Comfortable working as a vendor/contract support role within a client’s building.
-Able to follow detailed procedures.
Additional Details
-Drug screening is required.
-This is an onsite role; remote work is not an option/is unavailable.
-Holiday schedule includes several full closures and half-days
-Must be comfortable providing an ID photo for building access.
