Ground Control Business Management, a subsidiary of NFP, is seeking an Accounting Manager. 

The Manager, Accounting, is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, managing the monthly, quarterly and year-end close process, and supporting budgeting, forecasting and acquisition-related diligence efforts. This role requires a strong technical accounting acumen, a proactive mindset and excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the general ledger and financial reporting structure
* Oversee accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end financial closeout processes across all GCBM firms
* Post general ledger activity and prepare journal entries (month-end and mid-month)
* Prepare balance sheet and income statement workbooks required by parent company for all GCBM firms
* Assist the Controller in preparing monthly budget vs. actual analysis
* Support the annual budget process and provide insights into driving financial performance
* Respond to ad hoc financial reporting and special requests from management
* Prepare financial reports and data in response to diligence requests during acquisitions
* Assist in onboarding procedures for newly acquired firms, including:

* Creating opening balance sheets
* Preparing earnout reports
* Performing account reconciliations

* Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement new procedures to enhance departmental efficiency and accuracy

Requirements:

* Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance – required
* Active CPA License– strongly preferred
* 4 – 7 years’ experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in public accounting
* Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills
* Solid understanding of GAAP
* Proven track record of success in related field/role
* Critical thinking to identify errors or discrepancies in financial records
* Detail oriented & capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
* Experience with Workday a plus

The base salary range for this position is $116,000 – $137,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
