Description
The Migraine Clinic seeks a Triage Nurse to assume responsibility in triaging patients for evaluation and treatment of Migraine Headaches. The Triage Nurse will manage patient intake, assist with coordinating care and clinical research, and provide support, treatment, and education for patients seeking care for symptoms. The incumbent will receive referrals from the Patient Call Center, physicians, and self-referrals and triage cases to the appropriate Neurologist based on the primary complaint using clear protocols. Nursing assessment of situation and records is necessary to determine appropriate level of care and requires interpretation of symptoms.
Salary Range: $65.76 – $97.96/Hourly
Qualifications
Required:
- BSN or MSN required.
- Valid RN license.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- 6+ months of nursing experience required.
- Ability to complete a nursing physical assessment.
- Skill in developing a plan of care including setting goals, monitoring and documenting progress.
- Ability to implement interventions that are pertinent to goals established in the plan of care

Ability to evaluate the effective of
interventions toward the attainment of established goals and to recognize the need to reassess or reset goal parameters. -
Ability to delegate tasks in a management style that is consistent with promoting leadership and teamwork.

Knowldge base to provide education to patients, families, and other staff regarding clinical patient care issues.
