As a full time Occupational Therapy Assistant at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Ca, you will help assist treating patients utilizing therapy modalities and procedures according to the prescription of the physicians, and the treatment established by the Occupational Therapist. Provides patient care consistent with the scope of ethics; the plan for the provision of care to patients, the plan for corporate compliance, the performance improvement plan and patient education plan. May report in team and/or patient family conferences. Assists in divisional growth and cohesiveness to ensure a high quality of patient care and assists in the education and /or training of students. Provides patient care while maintaining safety of the environment, utilizing appropriate communication with sensitivity and attention to special populations, including patients with diverse cultural backgrounds, age, developmental issues and physical disabilities. Qualifications Educational Requirements: Assoc. Degree/College Diploma Completion of formal education / training from an accredited institution leading to or required for a Occupational Therapy Assistant license. Licenses/Certifications: Occupational Therapy Assistant License (OTA) California State license Basic Life Support by American Heart Association or American Red Cross Experience: 1-2 years experience in acute therapy is preferred.
