Job Title: Package Handler
Contract: Temp to Perm
Location: New York, NY
Reports To: Client Services Supervisor/Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to join our team as a Package Handler. You will be responsible for receiving and delivering incoming packages throughout the office. The position requires physical activity, especially in winter when clothing items are heavier. Candidates will interact regularly with staff and clients, so strong customer service skills, professionalism, and a friendly demeanor are essential. Basic Outlook and email proficiency are required. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on their feet for 6+ hours per day.
Schedule & Pay:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Pay rate: $22/hr
Responsibilities:
- Receive, sort, and deliver incoming products throughout the office.
- Ensure accurate handling and timely distribution of packages.
- Maintain a clean and organized mail/package area.
- Interact professionally with staff and clients, providing excellent customer service.
- Operate office equipment and basic technical tools as needed.
- Track and document package deliveries and pickups.
- Lift and transport packages up to 50 lbs safely.
- Stand, walk, and move items for extended periods (6+ hours per day).
- Assist with ad hoc office tasks and support team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–2 years of experience or equivalent in a related field.
- Some copy job experience preferred.
