AppleOne is proud to present:
Established employment law firm, dedicated to representing plaintiffs, seeks a detail-oriented Paralegal. While experience in employment law is a plus, it’s not required. Candidates must possess a paralegal certification or a degree.
Responsibilities:
Proofread legal documents for accuracy, formatting, grammar, and punctuation.
Prepare Tables of Contents (TOCs), Tables of Authorities (TOAs), and Proofs of Service.
Manage the preparation and filing of court documents.
Organize and maintain digital and physical case files with meticulous attention to detail, including creating and updating hyperlinks.
Manage the firm’s calendaring system, providing timely reminders for deadlines and appointments.
Draft professional correspondence.
Communicate with clients and class members regarding case status, directing substantive inquiries to attorneys.
Handle incoming phone calls and route them appropriately.
Conduct thorough initial client intakes.
Coordinate meetings, conferences, and appointments, including the preparation of necessary materials.
Assist with data analysis projects.
Liaise with couriers, court reporters, videographers, and other service providers.
Coordinate attorney travel arrangements (air, hotel, car).
Perform occasional local errands, service tasks, and filings (must have a car and valid driver’s license).
Qualifications:
Exceptional written, verbal communication, and proofreading abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Proven ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain composure in dynamic situations.
Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
Articulate and resourceful.
Ability to work occasional overtime.
Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, and/or Paralegal Certification.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Sufficient visual acuity to perform job duties.
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly rate commensurate with experience ($50,000 – $95,000 annual range).
40 hours per week, with overtime opportunities.
