The Valet Attendant plays a
vital role in delivering a seamless and welcoming experience for guests by
safely and efficiently managing vehicle parking and retrieval. This position
requires a high level of customer service, attention to detail, and situational
awareness to ensure smooth traffic flow, protect property, and uphold facility
standards. Valet Attendants serve as the first and last point of contact for
many visitors, making professionalism, courtesy, and reliability essential to
the role.

Salary range: $22.12 – $26.42 / Hourly

Effective 06/22/2025, employees represented by the AFSCME Union will receive a minimum wage of $25.

Qualifications

  • Possess and maintain current California Driver’s License.
  • Ability to see aspects of
    public relations in all facets of the job and the ability to understand the
    effects of actions on the entire organization.
  • Ability to recognize the
    importance of dealing diplomatically with the public, and the importance of a
    good public appearance.
  • Ability to establish and
    maintain cooperative working relationships with security employees, police
    officers, and Medical Center, NPI & H, and Medical Plaza employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess
    problematic or emergency situations and plan / execute an appropriate solution
    based on established guidelines or policies.
  • Ability to clearly and
    concisely express ideas using appropriate vocabulary and spelling.
  • Ability to relay information,
    either in writing or verbally, in a professional manner.
  • Ability to independently
    resolve issues working within set policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of applicable
    geography to expedite calls and to be an effective information source.
  • Ability to know and use
    available resources to solve problems.
  • Physically able to stand for
    long periods.
  • Ability to operate security
    related equipment and general office equipment.
  • Ability to successfully pass a
    criminal background investigation.
