Part-Time Lecturer in Digital Humanities: Spring 2026 University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: JPF10812 The Digital Humanities Program at UCLA seeks applications for a part-time Lecturer position. This position will be 50% for Spring 2026 and will cover 1 course for the quarter. Course Description: DGT HUM 122 (Theories of the Information Society) – Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:00-3:15pm This course explores the seminal theories that have shaped scholarship on the information society, internet studies, and digital media. Through a critical examination of canonical texts and contemporary debates, students will gain an in-depth understanding of how digital technologies transform social, cultural, political, and economic landscapes. Topics include the evolution of network societies, the digital divide, media convergence, and the cultural politics of information technology. Technical proficiency in digital humanities tools and experience teaching digital humanities courses at the university level are required. Classes also involve regularly scheduled office hours to consult with students and to offer mentorship support. Requirements: Expertise in Information Studies, Science and Technology Studies, Information Policy. Ph.D. in a related field is required. Candidates should provide a letter of application, CV, and three names for references. Recommendation letters are not required.
