SUMMARY OF POSITION The Department of Information Studies at UCLA seeks to hire temporary, part-time lecturers to teach within the MLIS graduate program. Course(s) may include the following, and the lecturers may also be assigned additional courses according to the instructional needs in the department and in conformity with departmental lecturer workload policies: 432 Issues and Problems in Preservation of Heritage Materials – proposed Winter or Spring quarter . Units: 4.0 Lecture. Introduction to fields of library conservation and preservation, with emphasis on preservation administration. Letter grading. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities will include lecturing, conducting regularly scheduled office hours, and the writing and grading of assignments and exams.
