Postdoctoral Position in Hematology-Oncology Pietras and Marquez-Garban Lab 2024-2025 University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: JPF09504 The Pietras and Marquez-Garban lab in the Division of Hematology-Oncology, Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is recruiting talented Post-Doctoral Scholars to conduct the following: Develop new targeted therapies for breast and pancreatic cancer Study dysregulated myelopoiesis in breast cancer Work independently on research projects designed together with mentors Develop, adapt, and implement research techniques such as cell and molecular biology including flow cytometry, cell proliferation, apoptosis, Western blot assays, etc. Handling of mice models to study tumor biology and the microenvironment and drug development Document research results and write reports of results for presentation and/or publication in professional journals Assist in maintaining the functionality and operations of the Principal Investigator’s laboratory Work as part of a team Follow all safety rules while on the job, including reporting accidents promptly, correcting minor safety hazards, and communicating with peers and management regarding any hazards identified in the workplace Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator An M.D. or Ph.D. is required. A reasonable estimate for this position is $64,480 – $77,327.
