Postdoctoral Scholar Position in Bioinformatics Scumpia Lab 2023-2024 University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: JPF09345 The Division of Dermatology, Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is currently recruiting for a full-time postdoctoral position. This position is available immediately in the Scumpia Laboratory, which is focused on cutaneous systems biology research in the following thematic areas: Combining RNA-seq, ChIP-Seq, ATAC-seq (including single cell approaches) datasets with transgenic mice and murine models of human disease to obtain mechanistic insights into cells and molecular pathways into skin disease. Understand the mechanisms of skin fibrosis, regeneration, or inflammation using integrated genomic technologies and cells from transgenic/KO mice. We are affiliated with the following departments at UCLA: Department of Medicine/Division of Dermatology Department of Bioengineering UCLA Health Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center (Tumor Cell Biology Program) The ideal candidates must have experience with: RNA expression profiles, molecular pathway analysis (GO, GSEA, etc.) Cell to cell interactions Tools for handling large data sets Interested individuals should have: Experience with analysis of highly parallel sequencing data: R, A plus, or other coding language but may be acquired via training by our current postdoctoral fellow.
