Job Title: Bioprocess Associate – Night Shift
Contract: Temp to Hire
Location: East Syracuse, NY
Reports To: Client Services Supervisor/Manager
Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and flexible individual to join our team as a Bioprocess Associate. In this entry-level, hands-on role, you will work in a biologics manufacturing environment with controlled areas requiring proper hygiene, gowning, and PPE. Your responsibilities will include operating process equipment, preparing buffers, media, and reagents, and monitoring manufacturing processes. Training will be provided.
Schedule & Pay:
- Alternating 36/48-hour weeks Night shift 6 PM – 6 AM Must be available for holidays, weekends, and overtime
- Pay rate: $21.50/hr
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and clean process equipment (valves, hoses, clamps, piping, etc.)
- Prepare buffers, media, and reagents up to 2000L
- Monitor process parameters and escalate abnormal conditions
- Maintain accurate documentation and a clean work environment
- Achieve and maintain proficiency through training
- Perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Handle hazardous materials, including caustics, acids, and steam
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Ability to follow instructions, verify data, perform basic math, and document results accurately
- Strong communication skills and teamwork ability
- Basic computer skills (web-based applications)
- Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn
