As a Production Floater at our bread plant, you’ll be involved in various stages of production, ensuring smooth operations across multiple areas. Your role will include preparing and mixing ingredients, operating machinery, and maintaining the quality and consistency of our products. From assisting with dough preparation to packaging and labeling, you’ll be a flexible and reliable team player, ready to support wherever you’re needed. With a commitment to quality and attention to detail, you’ll help us maintain the high standards that make our bread a staple in homes and businesses. The position will be based in Commerce, CA.

Main responsibilities

Assist in preparing and mixing ingredients according to recipes and production schedules.

Operate and monitor production machinery, including mixers, ovens, and slicers.

Help with dough preparation, scaling, and shaping to ensure proper consistency and quality.

Support packaging and labeling operations, ensuring accurate information and presentation.

Perform quality checks at various stages of production to ensure adherence to standards.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following food safety and sanitation protocols.

Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing ingredients and packaging materials.

Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and adapt to changing priorities.

Follow standard operating procedures and safety regulations in all tasks.

Participate in cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep equipment and work areas in optimal condition.

Fill in across different production areas as needed to support the team and ensure smooth operations.

What we are searching for.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment preferred.

Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

Ability to follow recipes, measurements, and instructions accurately.

Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy objects.

Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Flexibility to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Willingness to follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
