Description

The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a full-time Program Assistant to join the UCLA Prevention Center of Excellence (COE). The COE provides workforce development, training, coaching, and consultation for providers in Los Angeles County, with a focus on supporting adults, children, and families at high-risk for mental health challenges due to adversity, trauma, and loss. You will provide a variety of support services, including:

  • Coordinate and implement project communications, including scheduling meetings, conference calls, and electronic correspondence
  • Arrange and track purchases of project specific and training-related services, supplies and materials
  • Organize and maintain office supplies and inventory
  • Schedule training venues, participants, and related logistics
  • Coordinate facilities, catering, audio-visual, and other training needs
  • Process reimbursements for project-related travel and training expenses
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain training materials and records
  • Conduct data entry and maintain electronic and physical records
  • Assist with data analysis and preparation of project reports

Salary: $26.42/hr – $37.49/hrQualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences, psychology, or related field (preferred)

Knowledge of Los Angeles Department of Mental Health and other LA County Systems (preferred)

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse social, cultural, and educational backgrounds

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel and ability to learn new systems quickly

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Excellent oral and written communication skills

High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
