Department Summary

The Project Analyst 1 will work under the general and direct supervision of the PI and co-investigators on various research projects involving digital health. This full-time role involves study subject recruitment, data collection, data organizing, and report writing. Key responsibilities may include day-to-day project coordination and management, ensuring compliance with institutional and federal policies, organizing, and participating in research meetings and activities, and communication with stakeholders. The Project Analyst 1 will contribute to the statistical team in coordinating data collection and quality and generate summaries, create tables and figures, and contribute to manuscript development with potential co-authorship on research publications. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Salary & Compensation

*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications

  • Familiarity in developing and maintaining a full range of project documentation, including project plans, functional requirements, communication plans and project status reports. (Preferred)
  • Prior experience in a research or academic setting (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (particularly MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); familiarity with data or statistical software is a plus. (Required)
  • Strong oral communication, writing, and problem-solving skills, and demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment. (Required)
  • Demonstrated capacity to build working relationships and effective collaborations with diverse professional, institutional, and community leadership/partner organizations and policy makers. (Required)
  • Demonstrated ability to support project coordination and strong organizational skills. (Required)
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks efficiently and manage conflicting and changing priorities and deadlines under minimal supervision. (Required)
  • Capable in anticipating information needed by others as situations and projects develop. (Required)
  • Willingness to occasionally adjust alternative hours when needed such as evenings and/or weekends to accommodate events, meetings, or pressing deadlines. (Required)
  • Familiarity with research methodologies, subject recruitment, data analyses, statistical and other software. (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to track the progress and follow up on multiple projects, ensuring timely completion. (Required)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. (Required)
  • Open-minded, flexible, and willing to learn new ideas, concepts, techniques and skills. (Required)

    • Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations

  • Bachelor’s Degree In the field of public health, biostatistics, computer science, epidemiology, environmental health, public policy, social, education, management, behavioral sciences or other related fields. (Required) Or
  • Master’s Degree In related areas and/or equivalent education and/or professional. (Preferred)
