Project Management Lecturer – Master of Quantitative Economics University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: JPF10703 POSITION DESCRIPTION The UCLA Master of Quantitative Economics program (MQE) invites applications for a Lecturer with domain expertise in project management for the Winter 2026 (payroll dates: January 1-March 31, 2026) and/or Spring 2026 (payroll dates: April 1-June 30, 2026) quarter(s). This is a non-tenure teaching track appointment, on a part-time basis and made quarter by quarter, as dictated by instructional needs. The instructor will develop and teach a course in project management specifically designed for MQE students that will arm them with critical professional skills. The successful candidate will possess knowledge and expertise in creating risk management plans, understanding process improvement techniques, creating budgets, and managing escalations, team dynamics, and stakeholders. Candidate will have extensive expertise utilizing project management software, tools, and templates and practicing Agile project management, with an emphasis on Scrum. Responsibilities of the position will include developing the syllabus and course; delivering lectures and applied lessons; holding regularly scheduled office hours; being responsive and helpful to students; developing and grading assignments and providing guidance to students involved in co-curricular applied projects.
