Job Summary
The job of a Project Manager is to put together all the resources required for completion of a project at the property in partnership with the hotel leadership team. This individual plans makes strategies and sees to it that the project in successfully completed. Exempt associates are expected to work as much of each workday as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities.
Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A project coordinator needs to have a bachelor’s degree in his respective industry.
  • Experience of working in related industries is mandatory before being assigned the post of a project coordinator.
  • Ability to make good decisions quickly and provide alternate solutions in times of problem
  • Excellent communication leadership and negotiation skills
  • Must be well organized and systematic in working
  • A thorough understanding of safety precautions and laws related to the project
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills
  • A thorough understanding of the technical and financial issues involved in the project
  • Good troubleshooting abilities
  • Strong knowledge on computer applications

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Keep a track of all stages of project by documenting and recording outcome
  • Evaluate the financial estimate of the project and try to get the work done with least expense
  • Preparing reports and making presentations to higher officials
  • Ensure that the project is completed within deadlines
  • Gathers all the resources required for the completion of a project by utilizing the available resources or obtaining new ones
  • Be actively involved in the research and development of the project
  • Confer with contractors clients and the company executives regarding project details
  • Capital expenditures gatekeeper for project related jobs
  • Sustainability efforts to ensure the Queen Mary is environmentally friendly
  • Working closely and presenting plans to management and the ownership
  • Prepares a schedule for completion of the project in a systemic manner
  • Understanding and using project management software and applications for efficient scheduling
  • Position may perform manager on-duty shifts and may work nights, weekends, and holidays
