POSITION SUMMARY The Radiology Scheduler provides administrative support to ensure the department is organized and running successfully. The position works closely with patients, physicians, clinical staff, and other support personnel throughout the facility as well as outside physician offices and facilities. Duties may include reception, scheduling, phone management, medical record coordination and other responsibilities as assigned by management. The Radiology Schedulers primary job duty is making appointments for medical practitioners as well as patients by phone or in person ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Assumes responsibility for own professional development and practice. Displays professional commitment and supports the unit team by promoting unity and teamwork among coworkers by maintaining a positive attitude and positive working relationships. Greets customers professionally and promptly. Answers telephone calls in a polite, professional manner, screening calls and taking messages when needed. Responsible for understanding and participating in the organization-wide Performance Improvement Program through orientation, education, departmental and interdepartmental quality control, performance improvement, and quality planning activities. Supports the unit team by promoting unity and teamwork among co-workers by maintaining a positive attitude and positive working relationships. Job Requirements EducationMinimum – High school diploma or equivalent.Work ExperiencePreferred – Minimum of one-year recent experience in an acute care hospital preferred.Pay TransparencyThe hourly rate range for this position is $21.00 – $25.82.
