We are seeking a Receptionist & Switchboard professional to join a team of three at a prestigious law firm account. This role fulfills Reception and Hospitality duties including:
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Location:1401 New York Ave NW, Suite 500 Washington, DC 20005
Work Schedule:Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Dress Code: Business Casual and Professional

  • Greeting guests and answering/transferring phone calls
  • Reserving conference rooms and visiting offices
  • Ordering pre-packed lunch/breakfast for meetings from vendors
  • Setting up beverages and catering for meetings
  • Maintaining conference rooms and kitchen supplies and arrangements
  • Supporting Office Services tasks such as mail handling, shipping, copying, scanning, and office supply ordering

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all visitors and guests
  • Provide excellent customer service with a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Prioritize multiple tasks efficiently throughout the day
  • Work collaboratively with onsite and operations teams
  • Handle Office Operations and Facilities requests as a liaison
  • Assist customer teams with routine tasks as a first responder
  • Participate enthusiastically in company and community service events
  • Perform light administrative duties, PC support, and other assigned tasks
  • Maintain and update company phone lists, automated messaging, and calendars
  • Lift up to 50 lbs as needed

  • Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of prior switchboard or front desk reception experience
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word and Excel)
  • Self-motivated, fast learner with a great attitude and consistency
  • Flexibility to work early or late hours to accommodate end-user requests (primarily weekdays)
  • Previous experience in hoteling, hospitality, business office environments, or restaurant industry preferred
