Department Summary The employee will work on statistical genetic and biomedical informatics analysis for large-scale biobank, electronic health record (EHR) data, and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) data. Specifically, the employee will provide statistical and data management support for the analysis of the UK Biobank data, Million Veteran Project (MVP), Veteran Affairs (VA) health records, NIH All of US data, and UCLA Atlas data. Specifically, the employee will provide statistical and data management support for the analysis of the UK Biobank data, Million Veteran Project (MVP), Veteran Affairs (VA) health records, NIH All of US data, and UCLA Atlas data. Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications The employee is required to be professional and responsible in the conduct of his/her affairs regarding the project. The employee will be expected to participate in weekly meetings in ZOOM or other online platforms. (Required) Ability to manage the acquisition of data sets from various sources. Demonstrated ability to manage large datasets. (Required) Ability to consult with other researchers and use current statistical literature to obtain information about how to apply new techniques (Required) Proficiency in analyzing data sets, identifying trends, and summarizing findings using statistical software and tools. (Required) Competence in managing research databases, including data entry, maintenance, backups, and quality control. (Required) Understanding of various statistical methods and their applications in research, including data cleaning, manipulation, and analysis. (Required) Knowledge of data management principles, including data entry, maintenance, quality control, and security protocols. (Required) Familiarity with developing and implementing research strategies, as well as preparing and presenting research findings. (Required) Awareness of data security policies and procedures, including the use of security tools and regular training. (Required) Skilled in creating and presenting data summaries, statistical analysis plots, and tables during meetings and conferences. (Required) Competence in managing research databases, including data entry, maintenance, backups, and quality control.Administrative Support: Capable of performing administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, procuring office supplies, updating web pages, and arranging conference registrations and travel (Required) Efficiently manage multiple tasks and projects, ensuring timely completion of data analysis, reporting, and administrative duties. (Required) Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations PhD A doctoral degree in biostatistics or statistics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
