As a Security Guard – Armed Government Site in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. This armed position offers the opportunity to work as part of a team that values reliability, agility, and integrity while putting people first.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns within the government location.
  • Assist with access control by verifying identification and granting entry to authorized individuals.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of all activities, incidents, and observations during assigned shifts.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed during critical events.
  • Operate and maintain assigned security-related equipment, including firearms, in accordance with company policies and training.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Being able to use handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Possessing an armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Having CPR certification is preferred.
  • Having pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
