As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential community, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, respond to calls for assistance, and document security-related concerns to help reduce incidents. You will be a visible, customer-service focused presence for residents and guests, communicating clearly and partnering with on-site teams. What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and security-related protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor for unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations, and communicate observations to property management and/or Allied Universal supervision as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and resident interactions, and maintain accurate shift logs using required reporting methods.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
