As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support tenants, guests, and employees with professional customer service and clear communication while documenting observations and reporting concerns. What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and respond to requests for assistance, including directing visitors, verifying credentials as required, and reporting suspicious activity per site guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disturbances when appropriate and contacting emergency services and/or site leadership as needed.
  • Complete detailed written reports and daily activity logs, document incidents, and communicate relevant information to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
