As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Financial Institution in Compton, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment at a financial institution location. You will conduct regular patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond promptly to situations as they arise. Your armed status will be essential in supporting the protection of people and assets while delivering exceptional customer service. What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter inappropriate or criminal activity.
- Monitor access points and check credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location.
- Report and document any suspicious activities, security-related incidents, and/or hazardous conditions observed during patrols.
- Assist with crowd control and/or traffic management as needed during busy periods or special events.
- Support law enforcement and emergency responders with information and assistance when required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possess a valid armed guard card or armed guard license as required by law.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
