As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear, professional communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license, offering an active role where teamwork, integrity, and customer service make a daily impact.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access through authorized entry points by verifying identification and/or access credentials, monitoring visitor traffic, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
  • Perform security-related inspections during patrols, such as checking doors, gates, and lighting conditions, and reporting maintenance or suspicious conditions that may help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card/license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
