As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols and interact with the public, providing exceptional customer service and strong communication while upholding our values of reliability, integrity, and teamwork. What You’ll Do:
- Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients, visitors, and staff.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Remain alert and observant while monitoring the environment for potential security-related concerns.
- Assist with emergency response activities in accordance with established protocols and site requirements.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and provide reassurance to those on site.
- Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site protocols and Allied Universal procedures.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary, following all applicable guidelines and instructions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Baton certification is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
