As a Security Officer – Building Exterior Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Security Officer at a hotel and resort location, you will help monitor guest areas and back-of-house spaces, complete routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and badge checks as needed. You will greet guests and staff with strong customer service and clear communication while partnering with site teams. What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a hotel and resort location.
- Monitor and/or control access to guest areas, employee-only spaces, loading and receiving areas, and amenity locations while helping to deter unauthorized entry and policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including guest disturbances, medical calls, lost and found concerns, and alarm activations, escalating to management and/or public services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the property, including lobby areas, corridors, exterior perimeter, parking areas, and event spaces; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and guest or staff interaction notes; use radios, phones, and monitoring systems to communicate security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
