As a Security Officer – Dispatch Coordinator in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Dispatch Security Officer in a busy commercial real estate location, you will support on-site teams by monitoring cameras and access activity, coordinating radio communications, and dispatching officers to address security-related concerns and service requests. You will document incidents, assist visitors and tenants with clear, professional communication, and use computer tools to keep operations moving. What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and tenants by following site-specific procedures and assisting with security-related requests and/or questions.
- Operate the dispatch desk by monitoring radios, phones, alarms, and/or CCTV systems; document activity and maintain detailed logs and reports.
- Receive calls for service and incident notifications, gather key information, and coordinate response by notifying on-site personnel and/or appropriate public resources per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing clear communication updates to leadership and/or client representatives.
- Support access control and visitor management by verifying credentials, issuing badges as directed, and reporting suspicious activity according to site policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be able to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Possess a state, county, or city issued security-related license preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
