As a Security Officer – Hotel Concierge Overnights in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the location by greeting and screening visitors, verifying identification as required, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor lobby activity and front entrance conditions, report suspicious or unusual behavior, and help to deter unauthorized access through visible presence and professional communication.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site management and/or emergency services when needed and completing required notifications.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems at the front desk such as phones, radios, CCTV, and alarm panels, and complete accurate shift logs and incident reports per Allied Universal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
