As a Security Officer – Logistics Site in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence and friendly customer service will support a positive experience for all individuals on site. What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the transportation facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and designated areas within the location to support a secure environment.
- Document and report any observed irregularities, such as property damage, theft, or unusual occurrences, according to site procedures.
- Communicate and coordinate with Allied Universal management, local law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Follow all post orders and instructions specific to the transportation environment.
- Assist visitors, employees, and/or drivers with directions and information as needed while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
