As a Security Officer Patrol Coordinator in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a prominent public arts location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. Day Time Mon 10:45 AM – 06:15 PM Thur 10:45 AM – 06:15 PM Fri 10:45 AM – 06:15 PM Sat 10:45 AM – 06:15 PM Sun 10:45 AM – 06:15 PM
What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities at a public-facing government cultural location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public areas, administrative spaces, entrances, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or security-related issues.
  • Monitor entry points, visitor flow, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, protect property, and report suspicious behavior or policy violations.
  • Assist with closing procedures, crowd management, and special event coverage as assigned, while following post orders and reporting observations through required logs and communication systems.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
