As a Security Officer- Retail Center Patrol – Full Time in Torrance, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a bustling retail location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the property. This unarmed, driving position requires a valid driver’s license as you monitor the area and provide exceptional customer service to guests and staff. What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within the retail and mall environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure and welcoming atmosphere.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible presence.
- Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas as required by site-specific policies.
- Communicate professionally with the public, staff, and local authorities as needed during routine duties and/or emergency situations.
- Support Allied Universal operations by completing required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
