Senior Accountant
Location: Carson, CA
Full-Time Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
Salary – $70,000 – $75,000 annually (DOE)
Our client, a manufacturer and wholesale distributor of air distribution products and performance door components, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This role reports directly to the President/CEO and will support the Controller with accounting functions and financial operations. Open to considering candidates at the Sr. Staff Accountant or Assistant to the Controller level. Client is open to Direct Hire and Temp-to-Hire.
About the Company
The company specializes in serving commercial and industrial clients with:
Air diffusers, grills/registers, louvers, dampers, sound attenuators, terminal boxes, and VAV units
Security- and fire-rated vision frames and door louvers
Custom-engineered HVAC accessories for critical environments and clean-room applications
Responsibilities
Support the Controller with month-end and year-end closing, along with special projects
Oversee accounting functions from data entry through income statement preparation
Reconcile accounts and post to the general ledger
Prepare month-end reports and supporting spreadsheets
Manage cash flow and banking functions, including daily cash balances, deposits, transfers, and wire/ACH withdrawals
Monitor AR aging and supervise customer collections
Apply customer payments, monitor accounts, and prepare statements
Prepare sales and use tax returns; post to the GL
Process credits and returns
Manage year-end tax filing requirements (1096, 1099, etc.)
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Positive, professional, and collaborative attitude
Ability to research and resolve accounting issues
Syteline ERP experience is a plus
