Senior CT Technologist – CT – FT Variable Shift Req ID: 91015 Location: Orange, California Division: Medical Center Department: CT Position Type: Full Time Salary Range Minimum: USD $51.75/Hr. Your Role on the Team Position Summary: The Sr. CT Technologist performs the most complex Computed Tomography (CT) imaging procedures at least 60% of the time, to include production of diagnostic images of the human anatomy and vascular structures following prescribed protocols. The Senior CT Technologist assists with ensuring a collaborative, responsive and consultative working relationships across modalities and will all levels of staff and faculty. Under the direction of the Operations Manager and Senior Director and in collaboration with the Medical Director, the incumbent functions as the technical ‘subject matter expert’ for the CT department, and has the responsibility and accountability for ensuring the technical competence of the staff and for the development and implementation of all clinical imaging protocols. Acts as primary contact for research related projects, protocols, scheduling, and development Maintains accurate up-to-date records of procedures performed, coordinates exams with other services, coordinates patient transportation to appropriate areas of the Hospital, communicates pertinent patient information with the ER and Nursing units, and exercises strict patient confidentiality. The incumbent will adhere to the on-call, holiday, weekend, and weekly work schedules and participate in rotating shifts as required. Required Qualifications: Venipuncture Certification Must be able to participate in on-call rotation Minimum of three (3) years recent CT experience in an Adult Acute Care Facility. May be assigned to work in ambulatory clinics Graduate AMA Radiologic Tech program Current Basic Life Support Certification Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English Ability to maintain flexibility and work effectively in a constantly changing environment Ability to develop a work pace appropriate to the workload ARRT-CT ARRT certification Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements CRT license/certification Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Radiological Sciences Conditions of Employment: The University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
