Brief Department/Job Description
Global Business Services (GBS) has an opening for a Senior Facilities Maintenance Engineer II. The successful candidate will perform small project management in the repair, upgrade and maintenance of lab equipment, lab rooms, clean rooms, offices, buildings, and grounds. Prioritize, plan, schedule, and coordinate repair work orders executed by vendors and craftspeople. Must be self-motivated and able to work without appreciable direction from management. Represent the Facilities organization as the prime technical contact who will interact with senior customer personnel on technical matters pertaining to project execution often requiring coordination between organizations. Job duties include:
- Define customer requirements and Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Review cost estimate for equipment installation and repair to bring the best value to Raytheon.
- Ensure installation, repair or construction are fully commissioned and working properly before turn- over to customers.
- Able to follow procurement processes according to Corporate Policies and Procedures.
- Project management for repair and maintenance of building infrastructure and equipment including but no limited to HVAC systems, plumbing, roofing doors windows, cafeteria equipment, roadways, fencing, electrical equipment.
- On-call rotation that requires immediate telephone and possible in-person response to weekend and evening service issues. Ability to be on-call 24/7.
- Treat Customers with the upmost respect while addressing their maintenance concerns and issues.
- Ensure compliance with all Raytheon, Federal, State, and local codes regulations and standards.
Qualifications you must have
- At least 3 years relevant experience gained in a corporate facilities setting performing small project repairs, upgrades and maintenance of lab equipment, lab rooms, clean rooms, offices, buildings, and grounds.
- Experience in safely responding to Facilities electrical, mechanical and architectural issues in emergency situations.
- Proficiency in reading CAD and technical Drawings.
- Understanding of OSHA and local/national codes and regulations concerning facilities operations.
Education Experience Skills and Certifications
- This position typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, electrical engineering or related discipline and at least 5 years relevant experience or and advance degree and 3 years relevant experience in the absence of a degree a combination of education, and applicable relevant experience and/or certifications in lieu of degree may be considered….

- Able to adapt quickly to changing requirements and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- CMMS experience including procurement.
- Experience working in a Union Crafts environment.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to communicate with Leadership, Suppliers, General Contractors, and internal customers.
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently and working in a matrix environment.
- Well organized with effective planning skills.

The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD – 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
