As a Senior HR Business Partner, for assigned groups, you will provide thought leadership, strategic consultation, coaching, and support to drive talent strategies and champion our unique culture with leaders and leadership teams.  You will focus on identifying and implementing strategic talent solutions in support of evolving business needs, ensuring that the overall organization and culture are designed around strategic talent growth with a heavy focus on talent development, succession planning and a culture of inclusion.  As a California Buying Office-based HR Business Partner, you will be an integral member of our HR team.  You will collaborate with and leverage HR’s Centers of Expertise (COEs) and HR Operations Support Center for business solutions, to guide the acquisition, development, engagement and retention of TJX Associates within your assigned client organization(s).  

Major Areas of Responsibility:

Strategic Partnership

  • Partner with senior leaders to build and execute upon their talent strategies, including organizational development, talent development, learning & development, and performance management
  • Collaborate with functional leaders and leadership teams to ensure the overall organization and culture are designed around strategic growth and performance goals
  • Enable continuous improvement and change management
  • Provide high level coaching and counsel to leaders

Talent Management

  • Influence and support the organization’s Talent Agenda, and guide the acquisition, development and retention of TJX Associates
  • Provide thought partnership with key business and HR partners to understand and plan for future talent and organizational needs
  • Partner with leadership teams on the acceleration of talent to ensure proper succession and readiness, and to enable overall business growth and effectiveness
  • Facilitate executive development assessments and development programs to enhance leadership capabilities
  • Along with leaders and learning partners, help architect solutions for future global talent needs and drive a strategic learning culture

Culture & Engagement 

  • Champion culture, Inclusion & Diversity, and wellbeing within function/s
  • Collaborate in the management of compensation and benefits programs and support a high level of employee engagement through the stewardship of a healthy work environment
  • Advocate use of performance management and feedback mechanisms to ensure frequent, candid communication with TJX Associates  
  • Support the TJX Inclusion and Diversity Framework 

Who We Are Looking For: You.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of comparable HRBP experience, additional specialized CoE such as Recruiting, Organizational Development, Talent Management experience a plus
  • Understanding of Employment Law and experience managing Employee Relations, California specific employment law experience a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 suite
  • Experience supporting a dynamic, large scale business function
  • Experience working in a high growth organization
  • MBA and/or HR Certification a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR strategy, policies and processes and their implementation
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with team orientation, and the ability to collaborate, partner and build effective working relationships with internal partners in a constantly evolving environment
  • Ability to coach, consult and contract with business leaders, leveraging business acumen to assess needs and create pragmatic short and long-term solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decision making with data analytics, insights and storytelling
  • Strong learning agility, critical thinking, and strategic mindset
  • Cultural competence and understanding with the ability to flex approach
  • Rigorous pursuit of pragmatic business solutions, balanced with the ability to respond to daily business needs
  • Accustomed to working as a strategic business partner; demonstrable track record of defining and delivering HR strategy that meets long-term, strategic business goals
  • Proven experience supporting/influencing leaders in advancement of Inclusion and Diversity strategies and initiatives
  • Full life cycle project management skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects
  • Superior team building, emotional intelligence, and leadership skills
  • Propensity to identify opportunities and determine solutions for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to communicate complex information in a clear and compelling way

This position has a starting salary range of $113,600.00 to $147,700.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
